AV Studio

Ian Birch has experience in radio/TV and print/online journalism, website design, photography and recording speeches and concerts using the latest digital technology. He has worked for the BBC (Radio 4 and local), several ILRs (commerical radio stations), many professional RSLs (Restricted Service Licence radio stations), been news editor of three stations and acting editor at another, done cable television as a presenter/newsreader and VT operator, magazines, newspapers, websites, newsletters and more. He has lots of theatrical sound and lighting experience too. And he's been a chief sub (sub editor).

He does voluntary/charity work which has included, over the years, hospital and community radio (including request collecting on the wards), working with people with mental health problems and being on the executive committee of a local charity for people with disabilities. He writes free of charge for charity magazines and newsletters.
